Olle at Lucia Jam!

Olle rode awesome at the jam and ended up taking 2nd place! Not bad
for his first ever bmx-comp. Highlights includes a nose bonk to barspin
transfer, footjam tailwhip to fakie over the spine and just riding awesome
with really hard tricks in lines. Congrats bro'

Lucia Jam park upgrade :)

Some small upgrades to the park before Lucia:
-Build a new curb on the "two-level-box"
-Build a small steep bank on the skate/street area
-Fixed the curb on the skate/street area
-Made a small transition on the far right on the china bank
-Welded a new "flat-down" rail (will be located by the eurogap)
+alot of small stuff, fixed some broken ribs, and added some ply

Fun sess!

Rode some skateboard and bikes by myself the other day. 'Gelic was
on hand and filmed 3 clips, I'm pretty happy with what I've got so

Lucia BMX jam!

One of Swedens biggest bmx-competitions will once again be held in
Drakstaden (www.drakstaden.com) skatepark 10-12 December!
The Fortytwo page will be updated with info/video's and pictures!

Some info:
-50 people can live/sleep in the park
-to book, send an e-mail to luciajam@drakstaden.com (incl. name, date of birth
and phone no.), the price is 150 :- (SKR)
-riding is free from Friday to Sunday (only bmx-riders can ride)
-the competition will be held in jam-format on Saturday starting around 15.00

Olle in Sundsvall

Olle and Niclas took a trip down to Sundsvall yesterday, and as expected
Olle ripped and gathered a whole slew of clips for the mixtape. He also
had a brand new bike and got the new 2011 Mito stem and Gelic sprocket
so expect a bikecheck shortly...

2011 products!

Just received two big boxes with the 2011 "Mito" stem and
"Gelic" sprocket in black ... and red, yes you read that
right we will actually have some colored products from
now on. We're stoked!

I've not had the time to shot any real photos of them yet
but since I was so excited I shot these "teaser" shots
on my kitchen table about 5 seconds after ripping the
boxes open!

Full info, real product pictures and an updated products
section coming within a couple of days, but for now enjoy
the quick snap shots and hopefully you'll like the stem and
sprockets as much as we do!

Barspin madness!

Me, Mäkinen, Angelica, Elina and our dog Mito had a small session
in the park today! I did some fun opposite barspin combos (just learned
to through with my left hand) witch is unusual for me to say the least!

Mäkinen was amused by my goon-riding and rode really good himself.

Random update!

My computer's been down for a couple of days, today I finally got it up
and running again!

Lately we've had some good sessions in Drakstaden, we've started planning
the "Lucia Jam" (10-12 december) and I've worked on the 2011 product-line.

I've also made some small changes to the homepage, nothing to big but small
stuff that annoyed me.

Also started working on the first trailer for the Drakstaden Mixtape, mostly
to get to know Premiere cs5 and the HDSLR footage of witch I've never worked
with before.
The mixtape is not exactly a serious project, but something fun for all the
local riders here in Sundsvall. Don't expect flashy editing or banger footage
it'll be some sweet chill riding and basic straight forward cutting to
rock n' roll music, just the way I like BMX-videos!

Pulled some good moves yesterday for the mixtape. Always a nice feeling
to do new stuff! I'm estimating we have around 5 minutes of film right now

Mike's october bikecheck

Since I'm gonna change frame and other components on my bike soon
(I'm waiting to get my custom Solid frame, hopefully It'll be here soon)
I wanted to do a final bikecheck with my (current) trusty (and rusty) bike!

Lars comeback!?

If you're from Sweden and was into bmx around 2002-2005 or so you should know
about the "wonder kid" from sundsvall Lars Sjöholm, well Lars pretty much
stopped riding for a couple of years but made a comeback last week (actually
clocking some footage for the Drakstaden Mixtape we're working on!).


Let's hope it lasts for avail, Sweden needs more wallride's and brake tricks ;)

Umeå trip

Took a trip by myself to Umeå last weekend to visit my friends Jens (thank you
for letting me stay with you and Sandra) Lill-David and Niklas. I took
my trusty Canon 550 d with me to film and take some pictures but ended up
riding the whole time instead. Had a great time and it was a great way to
end the outdoor season.

2011 Mito stem sneak peak!

Here's a sneak peak of the 2011 top loader. It's light, has a very good
grip area around the handlebars and has got a look like nothing else on
the market! The rise is 28,5mm.

The Mito stem will be available in Black and Dark Red, coming soon!

My 550D, t2i rig / handle

Looking around for a good rig/handle for my 550d (T2i in the US) HDSLR I
found them to be way overpriced and not suitable for extreme sports.
I wanted something for filming low angles when using the fish eye in
lines and static shots!

This is what I came up, call it the Fortytwobmx prototype 550d extreme
sports handle ;), using stuff I had laying around (a small square
tube, an old bmx-handlebar, a couple of grips, some old bar ends and a
quick release plate from a cheap tripod)!

We just started filming for a "Drakstaden mixtape" with this rig!

Great session!

Just had this awesome session with the boys (Simon, Albert, Mike and KC) down
at Drakstaden! Simon did so much good stuff. I had the camera with me and Simon
more or less filmed half a section tonight. Mid-session his chain broke but that
only led to filming a couple of "chainless" lines (lots of fakie manual style
tricks)!

Apart for Simons slaying of everything, I think all of us learned some new moves
today!

Drakstaden update!

There will be lots of Drakstaden updates this month, reason being
both me (mike) and Simon are involved in designing and building the
park!

We're totally re-designing the "bmx-side"! We've added everything from
street boxes to a rythm section to a new step-up style jump box; pretty
much the only thing we haven't changed is the street-spine!

We're also working on a foampit with I'm sure would be a hit with the kidz!
